It's that time of year again, another birthday has arrived and I will be 37 tomorrow.
It's been a great year, and I look forward to the blessings of the one ahead.
My mom came today to celebrate, and all we are planning on doing is eating for the next 24 hours of her quick stay.
We went to Veggie Grill for lunch- a FANTASTIC vegan spot in Santa Monica. I joined their birthday club, and got an amazing FREE birthday lunch.
Tonight it's off to Madeline Bistro. It's a fine dining vegan spot in the valley. I've spent my last 5 birthdays there, except for last year because Maya and I were sick, so we stayed home and watched the Oscars.
Maya was very happy to see Gama. She has asked her to change all of her diapers, hold her hand, help her eat her oatmeal, and watch Yo Gabba Gabba.

Pedicure

I gave Maya her first pedicure this week. I know it's all about mani's and pedi's right now, but I'm thrilled. It's so much fun. And as you can see 1 color for each foot. Light pink on 1, hot pink on the other. I kind of like her idea, and may do the same!

tutu

It's been kinda chilly lately, so Maya has been wearing tights more often. It's a battle to keep slippers on her feet, so I decided to try tights and she's ok with them. She had on just the shirt and tights, then she saw her tutu and wanted that on as well. I must say it really livened up the outfit!

Helping around the house

As I've mentioned before, Maya loves helping around the house. Sunday she asked to help Pedja vaccuum. She had SO much fun.

Leggos

Luka is amazing at putting things together.
From putting together Pedja's compost bin, to Bionicle's, to model planes, he just has an innate knack for it.
This dinosaur was done in like 2 minutes.
He will walk in when Maya's playing with her Leggos, and in no time some amazing masterpiece has been built.
Im always amazed at his talent.

Pedja's Salon

She convinced her dad to give her a manicure last night.
She has 5 colors on all fingers. 1 coat per color. It actually looks pretty cool.

Something's fishy!

We had a great day at the Long Beach Aquarium.
Luka has been before, but was pleased to note that they have changed it up so he wasn't bored.
This was Maya's first time. She loved the diver in the large tank when you first walk in, as well as all of the touch tanks.

This was Maya's first official manicure by me.
I have been waiting for this day since she was born!
Since this picture, we have done like 10 more manicures. She asks for new polish on a daily basis
Now she keeps it punk rock by choosing a different color for each hand.
